Why the enemy is after your voice

”The breaking is not destroy you but to help you multiply for what God wants to do in your life” – Pastor Robert Madu

Ever felt like there have been attacks on your life since you were a child? Like you’ve been in a constant cycle from 10+ years. Many people will sulk call it bad luck. The truth is the complete opposite; THERE’S A CALL OVER YOUR LIFE. We’ve all heard that scripture” Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set YOU APART; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah 1:5. But do you honestly understand the depth of this? The enemy sure does that’s why your life has been a constant struggle since childhood. From teenage years and even younger, trials have been sent to make you question your purpose. Many times the aftermath of these trials deposit seeds of depression, anxiety, low self esteem, hurt, anger, bitterness, etc.  These seeds can cause you question not only your existence but also question if God is real.

I remember receiving an email from professor regarding the letter of recommendation she wrote for me. During this time I’m applying to residencies and figuring out what’s next after dental school. The email said “…The recommendation asked a weird question about your “self-awareness. I wrote that I am not sure you are aware of how positively you affect people you come in contact with, and that once you understand and hone that power you have ( seriously you improve the mood of people you come in contact with and that’s a real gift), you will postively SOAR”.

Something about this email resonated with me, not because of the kind words but because another instance where someone saw something in me that I just could not see in myself. I’ve been a season of just trying to get my voice back. To be honest its been hard, I have days where I’m confident and ready to step out on faith and other days where I question myself. God used my professor as another reassurance that he’s with me but I have to trust him and truly hone the voice that he’s instilled me. The beauty of our relationship in God and that he sees everything, he sees the insecurities we try to hide from him, he sees our cares and vulnerabilities and still sends confirmations through his word, through prayer, through his voice and even through others to show that he’s still walking with us as we are growing.

YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR VOICE BACK! It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve fallen, God factored in all of your falls and still placed that call over your life. Please don’t be discouraged, remember that those trials are sent to keep you discouraged, insecure, and voiceless. You must speak life to every dead area in your life. God has already given us the authority, we just have to use it.
